As the number of Deaths in UK go over 33,500 from the coronavirus we are all left with much to think about. Mortality being one. We are 'programmed' to survive. Either through our own fight for life or by saving our children to take the world forward. It cuts directly into we as human, corporeal beings and the wave of notions of the posthuman.
My position is that both sides of the discussions, either pure flesh and blood or pure artificial machine have short comings. The notion of an abstracted posthuman subject is far more possible, to my mind.
In recent time my focus has been, and is, on the experiences of being a corporeal being, one of flesh and blood. Asking the enormous question of what does being human mean. in focusing on the physical body
and our own internal experience of this body. While watching surgical procedures firsthand,I was aware of the incredible care and skill of the medics. This gave me a sense of safety and utter trust in our NHS.
It gave me a sense of wanting to give feedback to an external (to me ) world of those experiences not only of the physical but also seminal, the reasoning, with emotions, but surprisingly an inner hearing of the body's situation. These elements are present in Internal Landscapes (ILS) mentioned previously.
